Cibolo
Cibolo was founded on October 9, 1965 however its history begins long before this. Commanches and other tribes lived in the Cibolo area before the first German settlers arrived. In fact, the name Cibolo is a Native American word meaning “buffalo”. Generally the history of Cibolo begins in 1876 because that is the year the Southern PAcific Railroad cut through present day Cibolo. Cibolo is known as a “City of Choic”.
Cibolo has been growing annually at a rate of 4.98% and its population has grown 10.49% since the most recent consensus in 2020, which recorded the population at 32,276.
